Our Mill
Born out of a Covid frustration at not being able to obtain processed fleece from Australian suppliers, or have our own processed due to long queues, we decided on a project that has taken almost 2 years of research, and many years experience as a hand spinner, to develop a Mill on our farm. Our flocks consist of Merinos and English Leicesters. We obtained most of the machinery from a local processor whose circumstances did not allow them to continue processing (mainly American equipment), and imported washing equipment from Canada, thus allowing us to process our own fibre and provide small lot processing to other local fibre producers.
Dookie Fibre Mill is your go-to destination for all your fibre processing needs. Our operations are based in North Eastern Victoria and we take pride in offering our clients the highest quality natural fibre products, both from our own farm, and sourced from other small producers in Australia. Our mission is to provide you with the best customer service possible while producing the best sustainable fibre products that meet your needs. Reach out to us today, and let us know how we can help you with all your small lot fibre processing needs.
